Meet our bride and groom: Sarah and Timothy

HOW and WHEN did you meet? Tell us about your first date too!

"We met through our church. We knew each other for a while, but really got to know each other in high school while serving as sponsors at our church’s summer camp for junior high students. We talked and hung out all camp and the weekend after, we went on our first date. We went to Pei Wei and then Incredible Pizza. My favorite part was driving around Tulsa and talking about his family, my family, questions about life, and different goals for the future. It was that moment when I really fell for him. He was so sweet, smart, ambitious, and passionate. I loved his heart and kindness for others. We became official a month or so after that date and have been together for 5 years before we got married."

Why did you pick the venue that you chose?

"We fell in love with the scenery and simpleness of Greenleaf. Laura was incredible and it was exactly what we wanted! I loved how easy everything was and the outside was gorgeous."

What inspired your wedding décor?

"My favorite color is red or burgundy and my favorite is fall. So naturally, the two went together perfectly! I found a lot of inspiration from Pinterest. I loved the look of lamb’s ear, eucalyptus, and baby’s breath. Add a few burgundy flowers and simple lanterns and it was exactly what I wanted."

The bridal suite has everything needed to get ready for the big day. Makeup counters for 6, plenty of electrical outlets, up close mirrors and full length mirrors.

"We wanted first for Christ to get all the glory from our wedding. We wanted people to see Jesus in us and our marriage. Marriage is such a perfect example of Christ’s love for the church and we didn’t want anything to get in the way of that. It was most important to us that we show how Jesus brought us together and that we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19)."

"Tim’s favorite part of the wedding was the scenery and outside aesthetic. We had the arbor in front of the pond with the seats all pointed towards the pond. The sun set right behind us during the ceremony, and it made for such a beautiful moment. I couldn’t agree more. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a more beautiful outside ceremony."

The reception continued indoors where guests enjoyed delicious eats from our premier vendor 2 Pops Catering as well as yummy cupcakes from Not Your Grandma's Cupcakes.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Stout!
