It was all about fun for this fall wedding. Here's more about our couple from the bride Tayler.
Why did you pick the venue that you chose?
"I wanted something with an open floor plan but all the other barns were too country looking for me. I like that Greenleaf is light and airy and you can really make it your own!"
Tell us about your proposal! When, where, how?
"I thought we were just going on a date for our anniversary and was completely caught off guard...we went to the gathering place and walked around there for a bit. When we were leaving, he gave me my anniversary present which was a pair of Gucci heels I had been obsessing over for months! I was so excited and thought that was gonna be the biggest surprise of the day! We both went home to get ready because he said he was taking me to a surprise dinner. When we drove downtown, he said he wanted to go walk around, which we ended up being at the Center of the Universe and that is where he proposed! I was so shocked I didn’t even notice the photographer and videographer there! He took me to dinner at the mayo and when we went to the rooftop to order a drink all of our friends and family were waiting and he had rented it out for us for the night. It was the best day ever!"
What inspired your wedding décor? Did you have a theme in mind?
"I didn’t really have a theme—I went with a dusty rose color and a lot of greenery and then had touches of gold/rose gold/copper."
"We had a regular guest book, but I also had the idea to have people sign some vinyl records for me (music is so important to me and this was so special—I’m so glad I did it)"
"For our programs, we made them into fans because it was in August and I had no idea what the weather was gonna be like. It ended up being absolutely perfect."
Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests?
"My dress!"
The groom thought he was doing a first look with his bride but ended up turning around to see his groomsmen dolled up instead.
The outdoor ceremony took place in front of the treeline.
Our new alcove made the perfect spot for a photo booth setup.
What was your absolute favorite part of the day?
"I think both of our favorite moments was when our bridal party did a secret choreographed dance they had been working on for months. It was epic and hilarious!"
